Volcano Atitlán

This natural colossus is the highest from the three volcanoes facing to the southwest of lake Atitlán, its maximum altitude is 3557 meters above sea level.
The Volcano has a 250 meters diameter crater and in the highest part there are several cracks result from the latest eruption occurred in the year 1853. Also is possible to observe smoke expulsing a phew quantity of gasses from the top.
The top of the volcano offers one of the best views in the dry season, observe the landscape from the higher parts is a big opportunity and the best way to appreciate the volcanic chain of Guatemala, contemplate the sunrise and the sunset is a picture that you’ll not erase from your mind. 
The difficulty degree of climbing this volcano is from 1 and in some parts is 6.
This volcano is suggested for people in a good physical condition (good shape).There are two different routes for to start climbing, the first one is for the people who are looking for fun and full adrenaline, start walking from an altitude of 1600 meters above sea level.

San Pedro Volcano

The most accessible volcano to climb, is the younger brother in altitude, but the oldest in its formation.
There are two routes to climb, the first one starts by the side of Santiago Atitlán in a boat transfer and starts in an altitude of 1,560 meters above sea level.
 The second option is starting in San Pedro la Laguna, getting a boat trip for the transfer and then starts from an altitude of 2,100 meters above sea level. It takes about three hours and a half climbing to the top and two hours and a half coming down. Total time 6 hours.
The volcano has an altitude of 3020 meters above sea level, with a spectacular landscape from the lake and around it.

Tolimán Volcano

Is the twin volcano with the volcano Atitlán, it has two peaks, the north peak and the south peak is the higher part of the volcano, it has a spectacular view of 360 degrees, and in the north peak is the crater that has a diameter of 200 meters, the skirts of the volcano is the area with the most vegetation and forest and that’s where the “pavo de cacho” lives and could be observed with a 90 % of probability. This colossus has formed floods and the most recent caused mortality to a lot of people who were living in the village of Panabaj.
The ascent is possible in a day, departing early in the morning and coming back in the afternoon without any kind of vehicle, starts with an altitude of 1590 meters above sea level, to the top of 3237 meters above sea level.
